Methods:

Normal saline ability (0.9% solution of sodium chloride (NaCl), pharmacy product), exposed on the disk with Dexon radiation, to inhibit hypersensitivity reactions of various types was evaluated by the effect of hypersensitivity reactions of humoral type (immediate hypersensitivity reaction - IHR, or - anaphylaxis reaction) and cell-mediated type (delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction - DTH). Both these allergic reactions are well reproduced in laboratory animals and are used in medical products pre-clinical testing.

This experiment was blind: performers had no information on the specificity of the used disks until the experiment was completed and the results were analyzed (significant differences between groups by Student). Disks with Dexon radiation were provided by DST Fund in accordance with the instructions (website newpharm.ru).
