DST therapy - Dissymmetric (Anisotropic) Tinctorial therapy is an innovative method of the treatment of oncological diseases. It is based on the theory of Professor Kutushov about the causes of cancer and it's development.
Based on this theory, a group of chemical substances was investigated at the end of 1980-s. Whereby these substances needed to comply with the following requirements:
• Be nonhazardous
• Be nontoxic (unlike chemotherapy preparations)
• Selective in action (should affect only cancer cells)
• Be highly effective
• Could be combined with other treatment methods
After a number of experiments, some substances that met these requirements were selected, and some additional research was performed in order to prove their safety and effectiveness.
DST preparations were patented at the stage of trials.
DST therapy preparations belong to two groups of substances. The first group of substances is salts of organic acids. The second group is organic pigments and dyes.
According to the research of the mechanism of DST preparation action and the theory of Dr. Kutushov, organic acids and their salts influence the receptors of cancerous cells and inhibit the mechanisms of the vegetative growth of the tumor, and also stimulate production of interferon by defending cells.
Organic pigments and dyes inhibit initial phases of photochemical reactions, inherent in cancerous cells; initiate the apoptosis (mechanism of programmed cell death) in mitochondria of cancerous cells; initiate autophagy (catabolic process involving degradation of cell’s own components through the lysosomal machinery); destroy stroma and vessels in cancerous tumors; restore anisotropy in cytoplasm and molecules dissymmetry in cancerous homeostat.

Thus, DST therapy consists of 5 preparations:
- OF2, OF3 and OF9 – belong to pigments and dyes. They effectively inhibit proliferation and metabolism of various types of cancerous cells.
- OF1 and OF10 – salts of organic acids. They influence multiple resistance of the tumor, making it susceptible to the preparations of the first group.
